Krithika Harish Joins Civitas as Associate

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Civitas Public Affairs Group announced today that Krithika Harish is joining the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as an associate.

“Krithika knows how to mobilize big networks to take actions that advance public policy. Her experience working with global organizations to bridge the gap between grassroots activists and policy makers will be a tremendous asset for our clients,” said Civitas Founding Partners Bill Smith and Patrick Guerriero.

Krithika recently worked as a consultant for Synthesis Corporation, where she organized a convening of over two dozen emerging democratic action groups to discuss movement strategies, fundraising goals, and opportunities for collaboration. She also graduated from Columbia University’s School of International Public Affairs in May where she received a master’s in public administration.

“I am excited to join Civitas and help the team implement innovative campaigns and initiatives for our list of diverse clients. Civitas enables my work to have meaningful impact on the economic and social justice issues I care about,” said Krithika.

Previously, Krithika worked in the New York City headquarters of the United Nations Development Program’s (UNDP) Innovation Facility, where she supported the management of an Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT) investment portfolio and developed strategic communications materials for donor countries.

Krithika also served as Associate Director of Global Programs and Network Development for the United Religions Initiative (URI), a global network of grassroots interfaith movements. There she delivered capacity-building and targeted regional support to further strengthen the URI network.

Prior to her grassroots mobilization work, Krithika served as an executive writer to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in Sacramento, CA.
