Michelle Carroll Joins Civitas Public Affairs Group
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Civitas Public Affairs Group announced today that Michelle Carroll is joining the firm as a project coordinator. Most recently, Michelle was a member of Teach For America Corps in Philadelphia where she taught literacy, math, and science to inner-city youth. She will join the firm’s office in New York.
“Michelle’s drive, talent, and passion for social justice is matched by her proven leadership and strong work ethic,” said Katherine Grainger, a principal at Civitas Public Affairs Group. “We are thrilled to have Michelle on our team and we know she will play an important role in supporting our clients as Civitas continues to grow.”
“I am inspired by the unique level of dedication Civitas brings to its client base,” said Carroll. “I join this team with great pleasure and look forward to adding to its record of delivering winning solutions for the people and causes we serve.”
Prior to Teach For America, Carroll was a grassroots advocate in Pennsylvania, where she led numerous local efforts to raise awareness about sexual assault and violence against women in her community. She also served as co-chair of the campus Women’s Center at Franklin & Marshall College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in government and comparative literature.
“In and outside of the classroom, Michelle has shown she is willing and able to take on some of society’s most complex and dynamic issues,” said Patrick Guerriero, founding partner of Civitas Public Affairs Group. “Her experience and insights will undoubtedly be an asset to the Civitas community and our clients across the board.”
