NEW YORK — Civitas Public Affairs Group announced today that Celine Mizrahi, whose impressive career includes advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels of government, is joining the firm as a Principal. She will be based in Civitas’ New York City office.‍“I have had the privilege of working with Celine throughout her career. NEW YORK — Civitas Public Affairs Group announced today that Rubab Hassan, former Client Communications Specialist at Women’s World Banking and Senior Associate at High Lantern Group, is joining the firm’s New York office as a Senior Associate.‍“Rubab is a deeply talented strategist who has an innate skill for hearing and responding to the needs of clients. When I met Rubab during our hiring process, I was immediately captivated by her curiosity and precision. She will not only be a thoughtful addition to the Civitas team, but her experience and know-how will be a critical asset to our clients,” said Katherine Grainger, partner at Civitas.

New York, NY – Civitas Public Affairs Group welcomed Sharon Cai to the firm as Project Coordinator in the New York City office this week.‍Prior to joining Civitas, Sharon was the Program Assistant on the Policy and Advocacy Team at Women Deliver, where she provided direct administrative and high-level program operations support to the Managing Director and Senior Manager.

Washington, DC – Civitas Public Affairs Group welcomed Madeline Albert to the firm as Executive Assistant/Project Coordinator in the Washington, DC office this week.‍Madeline brings a combination of policy and campaign research experience to Civitas. Before joining the team, Madeline worked as a Research Associate with Hart Research Associates where she managed quantitative and qualitative research projects for progressive clients.

It took over two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation for all enslaved people to learn of their freedom. Juneteenth holds the depth of that truth and marks the end of slavery in the United States. It is a Black celebration of freedom in America, despite its late arrival. Civitas honors this day of delayed liberation and acknowledges that 155 years later, we still have a long way to go in this country for Black Americans’ lived experience to match the freedoms that exist on paper.

There are some exciting changes to our team at Civitas!‍Chris Cordingley and Krithika Harish have been promoted to the position of senior associate, and Alicia Diaz has been promoted to the position of associate. They’ve each demonstrated time and again that they are superstars and we are proud to celebrate their continued growth with the firm.
