CHRIS CORDINGLEY
DIRECTOR

Chris has spent more than a decade at Civitas, working with major foundations, nonprofits, and individual donors to bring about impactful policy change. During his time with the firm, he has worked across a range of policy and political issues at the state and federal levels including campaign finance reform, mental health advocacy, climate and clean energy, and LGBTQ equality. He has deep experience with earned and paid media, donor coordination, event planning, qualitative and quantitative research, grant and nonprofit organizational management, and meeting facilitation. In addition to political consulting, Chris worked for nine years to build support for LGBTQ activists and organizations seeking equality in more than 40 countries around the world.

Prior to joining Civitas and as a native Montanan, Chris worked in Montana politics for U.S. Senator Max Baucus and U.S. Senator Jon Tester. He is a cofounder of Inseparable, serves on the board of the Helena Food Share, and is a graduate of the University of Montana Davidson Honors College, where he was honored as a Distinguished Alumni in 2022.
